Happy Students

Mr. Woodruff, you are such an amazing teacher! I love that you can play any song I ask for in the perfect key for my voice! You saved my bacon when one of my group members got sick right before State Festival! You made adjusting so easy and the 1- rating is all on you!

I first met Kyle Woodruff in 2009. I was auditioning for A Christmas Carol and was told not to worry about bringing any accompaniment or a Pianist, sheet music or minus track or anything! They would take care of the music. I couldn't understand how that could possibly be. If they have an accompanist, they would at least have to know what song I was singing and in what key. Dubiously I stood to sing. As soon as I started, glorious accompaniment filled the Theatre. I didn't use a pitch pipe. For all I knew I was singing in a key with seven sharps! It didn't matter. Kyle accompanied everyone who auditioned that day with no foreknowledge of song title or key. I was gobsmacked! Kyle has a unique and powerful ability to connect with his students, and he earns their respect. His track record for teaching in a way that keeps his students interested and engaged in learning speaks for itself.

Mrs. Woodruff, Thank you so much for teaching me the violin. I learned a lot and the violin is very special to me. Orchestra made going to school easier for me, especially with my autism.
